Dean Landon is an award-winning songwriter, composer, producer, mix engineer, and orchestrator based in Los Angeles, with more than four decades of professional experience in music for film, television, artists, and media.
Since 2003, Dean has worked as a composer for Warner Bros., creating music across a wide range of genres and productions. His work encompasses cinematic, orchestral, pop, rock, electronic, contemporary, and hybrid styles, with a particular focus on strong melody, emotional storytelling, and high-quality production.
Dean's television and streaming credits include The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Teen Titans Go!, Barry, The Peripheral, Better Call Saul, Ray Donovan, Sex and the City, Burn Notice, Ghost Whisperer, The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, American Idol, Saturday Night Live, The Tonight Show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Extra, Access Hollywood, Dateline NBC, The Simpsons, Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and many others.
His feature-film credits include The Other Guys (Will Ferrell & Mark Wahlberg), Bounce (Ben Affleck & Gwyneth Paltrow), Hoodwinked Too! Hood vs. Evil (Glenn Close & Joan Cusack), Love Comes Softly (Katherine Heigl & Dale Midkiff), WiseGirls (Mira Sorvino & Mariah Carey), and Dim Sum Funeral (Bai Ling & Russell Wong).
As a songwriter and producer, Dean has had a long-standing creative relationship with Canadian recording artist Roch Voisine, writing and producing numerous songs and recordings. His song “With These Eyes (Ne Viens Pas)” was subsequently recorded and released by international recording artist Sarah Brightman in 2022.
Dean also co-wrote and produced “Living Out My Dreams,” the official anthem of the Canadian Olympic Team for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, with Roch Voisine and Anika Paris. The recording featured musicians from the Symphonic Orchestra of Montréal under the direction of Maestro Kent Nagano, and was mixed by Tom Lord-Alge.
In 2024, Dean received a Hollywood Independent Music Award for Mixing Engineer, recognizing his work in music production and mix engineering.
